Plumbing FAQ

We focus on everyday repairs: leaks, fixtures, toilets, sprinklers, resealing, maintenance, and inspections. California law allows us to take on projects up to $1,000 that don't require a permit. If your project is bigger or needs a permit, we'll tell you up front so you can get the right contractor.

Water Wizard operates as an unlicensed contractor, which California law allows for projects up to $1,000 that don't require a permit. That's why we focus on small repairs and keep our pricing affordable. Your repair is still handled by an ICC certified plumbing inspector who knows the plumbing code inside and out.

An ICC certified plumbing inspector checks your system for leaks, corrosion, worn parts, and code issues, and tests water pressure and flow. You get plain-English findings and recommendations, so you know what needs attention now and what can wait. It's a smart step when buying a home, planning upgrades, or tracking down a problem. This is a private inspection, not a city or county permit inspection.

Most of the time it's a worn flapper or a fill valve that isn't shutting off, and both are quick repairs. A running toilet can waste hundreds of gallons of water a day, so it's worth fixing fast. If you hear your toilet refilling on its own between flushes, give us a call.

It's possible. The usual suspects are a running toilet, a dripping faucet, or a leak in a sprinkler line. Here's a quick check: turn off every faucet and appliance, then watch your water meter. If it's still moving, water is going somewhere. We can track down the leak and fix it.

If it's a drip from a worn washer or cartridge, a repair is usually quick and affordable. If the faucet is old, corroded, or leaking from the body, replacing it often makes more sense and gets you a more water-efficient fixture. We'll give you an honest recommendation either way.

We're based in Woodlake and serve Visalia, Exeter, Three Rivers, Lemon Cove, Porterville, and the surrounding Tulare County communities. We're available Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 6 PM, with Sunday visits by appointment.
